My Acid Mirror Mess up!

So I am sure many of you bloggers have seen this wonderful acid mirrors people have been doing. They are super pretty and I love mirrors so of course I wanted to make one myself.

My mother and I made these together, hers turned out great! I can't say the same about mine. They say it works different with different mirrors that is definitely true! When I did mine it stripped off so much of the actual mirror there was like hardly any left and it looked just like a framed piece of fabric. I was very unhappy with it. My mother had to leave the acid on hers for long time and still had alot of mirror showing. I was really bummed at first because I had used a mirror I really loved expecting it to turn out great, and now it was ruined

I had the idea to change it into a frame, I was able to soak the acid on the mirror for a bit longer, and it turned into just a piece of glass! I think its an adorable frame so glad it did not go to waste!

I printed off this poster print at Walgreen's of Lacie & Bella. Soooooooo cute! I love it!

I am sure I will again try the acid mirror thing again because it is so gorgeous.

I also printed out and framed this cute picture today because my coupon for poster prints at Walgreen's actually expires tomorrow. This cute picture is hung at the top of the stairs between my bedroom and my guest bedroom.

The football player costume is Fufu's Boots was just borrowing it, the football custome he is wearing above is his custome from last year my boyfriend is really into football.

Happy Birthday Gage & Wyatt! Today my twin brothers turned 12!

Grandma & Grandpa came over to my parents house today too to celebrate the boys birthday with them. So they got to meet Lacie today (the girls always go everywhere with me). Bella & Lacie were in their Halloween costumes here because after the party, Chantel (my sister) and I headed to Petco for the Halloween pet costume contest.

 Bella was a Princess

 Lacie was a fairy (she has wings on her back)

  Awwe I love them

 

Chantel also entered their dog Daisy.

 Daisy was a pumpkin.

57 Days Till Christmas.

 Just wanted to do a quick post to share some of the new Christmas stuff I have got in the last week. I am so excited to start decorating I love Christmas. I found the feather tree at Homegoods for 24.99, I got the nutcracker and joy sign at Joann's, the nutcracker was 19.99 with sales prices and coupons I got this little guy for around 8 dollars and the Joy sign for about 6! I got the ornament branch ( I am not sure what you would call it??) Today at Marshall's for 16.99. I'm so excited that I think I am going to start really early this year! hehe.

Another Mirror Makeover.

I love to have mirrors behind my crystal accessories they make them just sparkle so nicely.

Love this little old fashion radio stand I got at a my local thrift store (thrift city) a few months ago, that the mirror is sitting on. I plan to paint it of course but I have not decided yet if I want to paint it white or a real pale blue green what do you think??

Night Stand.

Its probably not actually meant to be a nightstand, I think more like a sofa table but I like it as a night stand so that what it's going to be.

Before.

I purchased this night stand at a local thrift store (thrift city) for 7.49 it was 14.99 but it was half off day.

 I of course spray painted it white. This night stand is great because it is just a big open space in the middle and is a great place to store the dog food perfect for the doggies bedroom.

 Yes this is my puppies bedroom they are so spoiled.

 Tonight Lacie & Bella got new matching outfits at Ross aren't they cute!?!

Latest addition to our family

Meet Lacie

 Lacie is a Pomeranian (same as Bella) Isn't she adorable?!

 

Both my girls together!! 

 

Lacie is 4 months old & weighs 1 & 1/2 lbs she is expected to weigh around 3lbs full grown.

Bella should be close to full grown now and weighs 5lbs.

.

We drove 4 each way last night to get Lacie. Bella of course came too. This photo was on our way back.

 Lacie and Bella are the perfect play mates for each other. At first Bella was a bit weary of Lacie but its only been a day now and Bella is starting to be very fond of little Lacie.

Tonight Bella, Lacie & I went over to my parents so Lacie could meet the rest of the family (my Mom went with Bella & I to get Lacie) Here Bella, Lacie & I are with my parents dogs Daisy, Duke & Dafney.

My New Entry Table

This is my new little table for my entry way, it's so cute. I painted the legs white and the top "summer sorbet" it was the left over paint I had from painting my half bathroom.

I was getting really frustrated while trying to take photos for this post because I feel like the photos don't give it justice most of the photos it look just all white. There is more contrast between the white and blue then the picture shows.

 

Here is a picture of the table before I painted it, pictured here at Goodwill. Purchased for 14.99

 

I plan to decorate the entry table for all the different Holidays.

Bathroom Pictures

My dream would be to have a bathroom with a claw foot tub with a chandelier hanging above. But for now I will just settle for a beautiful photo of one. My mother actually has the same photo of the tub in her bathroom and I have been admiring it for a while. So when I was at Ross yesterday and I saw the photo my mother had along with a matching one I knew I had to have them. Plus I had this empty spot on my half bathroom wall I had been waiting for the perfect thing to put there.

The one problem were the frames were dark which can be nice but I decorate my house all in light colors, mostly whites so they do not go. Luckily I was able to get the pictures out of the frames, this was tricky because it was stapled in with tons of staples. I then spray painted the frames  and put the pictures back in. I could have stapled them back in but I'll be honest I just used duct tape no one is going to see the back anyways!

I'm thrilled with the way they turned out, they were the perfect thing to fill up the empty space.
