My All Time Favorite Goodwill find

As you know if you regularly read my blog I love goodwill! I decided to share with you my favorite thing I have ever got at Goodwill

This gorgeous little crystal chandelier it was only 12.99! I love how unique looking it is.

It even works! Honestly I probably would have bought it even if It didn't.

It was already white I didn't have to do anything to it!

Goodwill is awesome! If you go often you can really find some amazing things!

Bella's Room Is Now Pink!

Over my vacation from work last week not only did I paint my kitchen cabinets, and half bathroom, as I showed in my earlier posts, I also painted Bella's bedroom pink! It was alot of work because not only did I paint the walls I also had to paint the trims, doors, and ceiling because unfortunately before I owned this house someone painted everything (all the doors all the trims all the ceiling & all the walls) the exact same tan color! How boring is that? I think trims, doors and ceilings should be white & walls should have color. It was worth it, her room looks so cute.

For my first time visitors, yes Bella is a dog & yes she has her own Princess Cupcake themed bedroom =]

The room  is so much more cute painted pink

I also had a great idea to hang this chandelier in the middle of the canopy.
this is the chandelier that was gold that I got at the a vintage flea market,

Her room's not done yet though, I am still on the hunt for the perfect window treatments.

Bella stays in her room and plays with her toys while I am at work.

She loves her toys!

This is the lamp shade my Mother made me for my Birthday. This is just a temporary night stand for now (it is actually a wooden laundry hamper) I actually purchased her a new one today! for 7 dollars at a local thrift store but it has to get a makeover first. Cant wait to show you all!

Yes my Bella is one spoiled puppy! Hope you enjoyed.

My Bling Cake Cover.

I was at HomeGoods a few days ago for one of my regular look arounds. When I found this beautiful thing in the clearance for only 4 dollars! You ask me what is it? I was asking myself the same thing. I purchased it with no idea what I was going to do with it or what it was, but I had to have it. I thought maybe it would look pretty with a candle in it or something.

A few days later it came to me, it is absolutely the perfect size cake cover for my little fake cake. Isn't it so pretty!

It sparkles even more in person.

A Little Touch Of Halloween Decor.

I am not a huge fan of decorating for Halloween because I don't really like orange nor black, & I like pretty things not scary things. So here is a post on my version of pretty Halloween decorating!

Now this my kind of Halloween! Glitter, crystals, bling, and  white its so me.

I talked about this pumpkin recently on my birthday post but in case you didn't see that post. This Pumpkin was a craft project made by my Mother made for me as one of my birthday gifts and I love it!

Currently it is placed on my kitchen counter

I got this adorable sparkly boo at Target for only 2.50 what a deal.

I Love this adorable little cake stand I always have it out displaying something on it. Purchased at Homegoods a while back I think it was something like 12.99

My Mother painted this fake pumpkin and added all the pretty stuff on it! It is so gorgeous.

I also bought a really cute Happy looking ghost for the start of my Halloween decor. I haven't decided where to put him yet though. I think I will end up with a few little cute ghost because I like ghost's just cause they are white, they go much better with my house haha.

Last Day

So bummed today was my last day of my vacation. Back to work tomorrow it went by so fast! I guess it was because I was so busy with all my projects, I am really happy with how much I got done though, my kitchen cabinets redo & my half bath makeover & I also painted Bella's bedroom which I will be posting pictures of very soon! Wishing I had one more week though =[
Rearranged some stuff on this little dresser yesterday, love it! Its nice to change stuff up a little every once in a while.

My Half Bathroom

I have three bathrooms in my house. One semi large master bathroom, a regular sized full bathroom upstairs between all the bedrooms, and a tiny half bathroom, that is the only bathroom downstairs, so is the one most all guest use. Which is the one I am doing this post of.

It was a really plain and boring room but I did my best to give it some style even though its so small. I think I did pretty good. I am very happy with the way it turned out.

As you can see plain and boring. Boring wall color boring cabinets & boring standard plain mirror.

One of the things that makes the most improvment in the bathroom I think is the mirror. I found it at Goodwill for only 14.99. I knew it was perfect the second I saw it, it could not be a more perfect size.

I painted the walls a color called "Summer Sorbet" and repainted all the trims white (they were painted the same color as the walls)

Love this little hand towel I got at Homegoods a few days ago for 4.99 its perfect!

Purchased these at Micheal's a while back on clearance I think I got all 3 for about 10 dollars.

Love my nightlight, another Homegoods purchase. Soap dispenser and vase were yet again more amazing Goodwill finds.

I also painted the cabinets white, and I am so happy I did!

It may be tiny but at least now its pretty!

Bella Got Shoes!

She can't really wear them, since she cant walk right in them, but it sure makes for a cute picture! Lol

Celebration

Tonight I went over to my Dad's house to have a little get together for my birthday with them (My Dad, Step Mom & my sisters Tiffany & Shakayla) I had a great time

I wanted to share a photo of these flowers they got for me, aren't they gorgeous? I just love the vase too (the picture doesn't do it justice, Its even prettier in person) My Dad picked it out & he did very well white roses & The vase is the blue color I love, and its shinny! They also got me this adorable little doggie leash hook that I'm sure I'll be posting soon cuz its super cute, & also a gift card for this really neat sounding fancy movie theater called  Cinetopia that I'm excited to go to! I'm one lucky girl.

goodnight all.

The Kitchen Reveal

Words cannot describe how happy I am I painted my cabinets. I Love the way it turned out, it is even better then I expected it to be.

Before the kitchen did not go with the rest of my home at all.

My Great room floor plan flows so much better now that all the separate area's (Kitchen, Dining & Living) and the same color scheme's
I love having an island, it has so much storage space in it and is a great prep space! especially since I can see the TV from it.

I also really like having the window above my sink it brings in so much more light

This balloon curtain is from the simply shabby chic line at Target 24.99

Most people shopping for house these days want stainless steal appliance's. Not me I am very happy my house already had a white stove and built in microwave ( I had to buy my fridge) when I bought it, I also love having my microwave  built in and not taking up counter space

Love my little pops of color in my very white kitchen. Its very hard to tell in this picture but the butterfly is very sparkly I love sparkles.

Had to sneak in a picture of my girly.

This is one of those scent melter things, its great because its pretty with all its crystals and it makes my whole house smell great. I saw this at the 2010 Portland Christmas bazaar. My Mother and I fell in love with them, so I told her I was buying it for myself even though I was really buying it for her for Christmas. I really wanted one for me too but it would have been too obvious if I would have bought two since she was with me. A few months later  I got one too in my Easter basket from my mom, I'm so excited I now have one too! We both have the clear crystal ones but they come in lots of other fun colors too, & the scents they have for them are great they last forever! You can also but any other melting scents in them too though,

Aren't my little canister's adorable? Another amazing goodwill find.

I was  bit nervous before I painted how the counter tops would look with everything white, but it worked out great. I didn't realize this before put the white tile back splash I already had brought in the white cabinets perfectly. The counter tops going even better with the white cabinets then they did the oak.

As you can see I did not paint the inside of my cabinets. They are not the same oak color the outsides were, They are a very light color that actually goes well with my wall color and it saved me alot of extra work, I just did alot of taping  to keep the line's between the two colors clean and sharp.

I did paint both sides of the doors though since they were oak on both sides.
I first removed all the cabinet doors and drawers. My mother & Sister Chantel were nice enough to come over and help with the priming. I used kilz oil based primer. I then gave the primer a day to dry and then painted them with rust-oleum high gloss white oil paint. Oil paint &  oil primers are messy, it makes it much harder to clean brushes & get off skin but it really last so much longer. It is also important to use a gloss paint in a kitchen to repell all the oils and grease. I choose a high gloss because I actually prefer to the really shinny look, & its going to make them super easy to clean.
I'm very happy with it, hope you enjoyed it as well! I better get going I'm currently working on a face lift for my half bath right that is right off this room. The kitchen has inspired me to paint the cabinets in there too! I'll be posting that soon!
