Mirror wall is almost complete....

MIRROR MIRROR ON THE WALL....WHO HAS THE MOST MIRRORS OF THEM ALL
On my last post I had posted this photo above saying I still needed more mirrors for this wall.
Well I have now collected enough to complete this wall as well

I love this ladder! It is a Little Giant.
Here it is!

I also finished this small wall next to it.

It is impossible to get one photo that shows all the mirrors but I counted and so far I have 77 mirrors up.

All I have left to complete the mirror wall, is this small wall. I can't believe the wall will actually be complete. I am so excited, but in a way I am kind of sad the mirror wall is almost done, because I have been working on it for 2.5 years and have had so much fun searching thrift stores for the perfect mirrors. I love the joy of finding one. I usually only find one at a time if any, so that shows how many times I have been to the thrift stores! My Grandmother, Mom  & little sister have been a big help as well searching garage sales, and thrift stores for the perfect mirrors to go on this wall.

My mirror wall  is exactly the envision I had in my head. When I told my Mom & Boyfriend I wanted to make a "Mirror Wall" I don't think anyone knew really understood how extreme I was planning, but this was exactly it. I am so happy with how it has turned out.

My pups are always watching me hehe.
"What ya doing Mom"

Downstairs view

The wall continues down into my sitting room.

This wall was sooooo much work, to find all these mirrors, then paint them all white, then hang them, I have hundreds of hours into this wall but I love it, so it's all worth it. Now I never want to move! Lol.

Hope you enjoyed my post.

Come see us again soon!

  5. I was just thinking if you ever moved, you'd have a time getting them all down and packing them when i read that you never want to move, lol! I would never want to either...it is absolutely beautiful and I can tell you have done a fantastic job on your searches along with your wonderful family! You're a brave girl to get up on the big tall ladder to tackle all of that! I started a small wall in our stairwell with a few mirrors and I think of you everytime I go up and down and look at mine. It's amazing how it really opens up a dark small space and I love how the light just bounces around. Thanks for the inspiration Janae...your's is absolutely amazing and beautiful!!!

  8. Those mirrors are beautiful! I just can't imagine hanging them all. And I wouldn't want to have to be the one filling all the holes if the mirrors all needed to be removed, so you are smart to stay put, lol!

  22. I find my self drawn to your blog often. I have this living room with 24 + foot ceilings. Sounds nice but it just creates a dark cave above my head. When I moved in I told my hubby that I was going to line the biggest wall with mirrors. He was skeptical. You have given me a great visual to show him. Thank you. My taste is a bit different from yours. Although I love your home! I was thinking of painting my mirrors black. Thoughts?
