Giani Granite Countertop Paint One Year Later

Just over a year ago I used Giani Granite countertop paint on my kitchen counters.
At that time I did a blog post all about it

I was so happy with the way it turned out.
The number 1 concern I had as well as I think many other people had was how it would it last?

I am so happy to be able to tell you that the counters now a year later look just as good as they did the day I painted them.
All the concerns I had and others probably had too with chipping and such, have not been a problem at all, they have never chipped. It does not seem like the counters are painted at all, they just seem like countertops that came the way they are. When people come over they can't believe that they are just painted.

This is what the counters looked like just over a year ago.

On top of the cabinets is Levi's favorite hangout spot.

Giani Granite helped me tremendously in bringing my dining area living area and kitchen all together to one color pallet which is important because with my floor plan all 3 areas are one big room.

View last years post to see how I did this.

I love Ball jars and I am loving my new 100 year anniversary little blue ball jars, I just got the other day. (The little ones are the new ones, the large one with flowers in it is an antique)

The counters are holding out perfect even in areas like around the sink where they get wet alot. They really still look as good as they did a year ago.

I have spring fever.
I am loving having fresh cut flowers in the house again.

I highly recommend Giani Granite countertop paint it is awesome!! I'm happy that now that it's been a year that I can say they very durable, I am hard on them and they are still in perfect shape.

If you have been thinking about trying Giani Granite countertop paint do it! It is very afforable, really easy to do, super durable, and makes such a drastic impovment. I love this stuff.
Thanks for visiting my blog. See you next time.

Spring Fever

During my days off this week I have been doing some yard work, in my little front yard.

I have a tiny front yard, which is kind of nice because it does not take very much work to make it look cute.

These windows here in the front are the windows on my last blog post that I just put the new curtains in, and that I mentioned the fur babies love to look out as you can see here.
I love this planter I got it a Goodwill a couple years ago. When I lived in an apartment I had it by my front door as well, and I once had someone knock on my door just to ask where I bought it lol.

This yard bike is from HomeGoods.

This dog riding a bike planter was another Goodwill find.

This planter is again from HomeGoods.

Bentley wanted to help!

Sunshine makes them squint.

Happy Spring Everyone!

My sitting room

Another blogger recently posted a picture on FB of their new curtains.
When I saw them I had to get some too.

These new curtains being the ones with the ruffles, are apart of the Simply Shabby Chic line designed by Rachel Ashwell carried at Target
I used 3 panels of the Target curtain. The curtains that I tied were the curtains that were in the this window before. Its hard to tell in pictures with all the curtains that this is actually two tall skinny windows not one big one like it kind of looks. I used tension rods to hang aqua colored sheers in each window, they are a little more aqua color than it shows in the pictures.

My Mother is very creative and always makes everything so pretty including her Christmas gift wrapping. The ties on the curtains are actually the ties she had tied around my Christmas gifts, I saved them knowing I would find something perfect to use them for and I did. Thanks Mom!

This room is just an open room (no door) right off the entry way. We really do not use it much, its very small only 9 x 9. I live in one of those neighborhoods where there is only 4 different houses just produced over and over again (24 houses in my community total) and I know a lot of my neighbors use this room as their office, but I just wanted it to be pretty since its the first thing you see. It's a nice place to just sit and relax maybe read a magazine, all the animals spend a lot of time sitting in those windows since the windows start less than a foot from the ground, checking out what all the neighbors are doing, my fur kids are nosey lol!

"Mom, why are you taking pictures of the house and not of us!?!"

My Mother got me this crystal candle chandelier this past Christmas, I had not hung it up yet until today because I had not decided on the perfect place for it, then today it came to me to hang up a chandelier over my pub table, its the perfect size for it and I don't know why I didn't think of it some time ago.

It's hard to see the chandelier with all the mirror in the pictures in person it really stands out.

The crystal candle chandelier is gorgeous I love it.

I would like to take a second to thank all the people who left me such sweet comments on my blog over the course of the past 2+ years. Reading your kind comments really make me very happy.

Someone was recently very rude to me on my blog, started with saying I can't call myself a homeowner because I have a mortgage, and "anyone" can get a mortgage which is the craziest thing I have ever heard, people with mortgage's are homeowners, duh lol!  Being a homeowner starting at the age of 21 is something I may have mentioned several times on my blog, but it's because it is something I worked hard for and am proud of myself for. For someone to say I am not a Homeowner because my house is financed, really caught me off guard and I took that as offensive. They continued by saying other crude things about my pets and myself.  My blog is in no way a professional blog, I don't make money off of it , it just my fun way of sharing my everyday life in many different aspects of it not just decorating, and my pets are a very big part of my life, they are my fur-kids! I am in no way upset by this person, they seemed pretty ridiculous to me. But this really did make me realize how lucky I am to have so many nice followers that always leave me such sweet comments all the time, both here & on and my blogs Facebook page, thank you guys, I really appreciate it, you have really enhanced my life.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

See you next time :)

Easter Weekend 2013

Hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday weekend!
I sure had a fun weekend!
Yesterday my pups and I went to my parents house to color Easter eggs with my Brother and Sister.

I colored an egg which each of my pets name on it.

Than this morning my babies got their Easter baskets.

They are pretty lucky pups. The Easter bunny spoiled them this year.

They loved all the goodies they got.
It was funny they each got that sock money dressed as a bunny each in a different color. All 3 of them picked that out first, also funny since that was the first toy I picked out for them at PetSmart, Guess this pommy mommy knows her babies well.

The video below if of my babies getting their Easter baskets.

Ever since I got the Easter decorations out a couple weeks ago, Billie has wanted to be in this basket. He spend probably half his day in it, it's hilarious how much he likes it.

We went over again to my parents today again for a doggie Easter egg hunt & Easter dinner.
My babies got dressed in their matching Easter outfits (boy & girls versions) before going to my parents house.

The doggie Easter egg hunt was a lot of fun

We put meat into the Easter eggs, my Dad drilled holes in the plastic eggs prior so they could smell the eggs and "hunt" for them.

Daisy & Duke

Bella was the pro of the Easter egg hunt she was finding eggs and opening them right up. The other dogs were needing some help. We knew Bella would be good at this, anyone who knows Bella knows she LOVES food way way more than any of the other dogs.

The video below is clips from the doggie Easter egg hunt
\
It amazes me how good Bella was at finding and popping open the eggs so fast!

Hope everyone had a Happy Easter.
Thanks for visiting!
