This weekends project, that extended into my Monday evening, was painting my master bathroom.
I wanted the color to go with my bedroom wall color, since the bathroom is off my bedroom. I felt they should be the same color scheme. But I didn't want the color to be quite as bold as it is my bedroom, since the bathroom is smaller. So what I did was take the half gallon of paint I had left over from when I painted my bedroom about 6 months ago, & I mixed it with about an half gallon of cotton white. The color it made was perfect, exactly what I wanted and now the bathroom color is the exact hue to match the bedroom just lighter. I also painted the door, trim, and ceiling, as I always do every time I paint a room in my house, since every room was painted all the same boring tan color when I bought my house. I don't hate the original color but I by no means love it, so slowly I am repainting each room in my home.
I also painted the cabinets white!
It made such a huge improvement to paint the cabinets white. You can kind of see the before color of the walls in the mirror reflection here too.
I painted the bathroom cabinets in the same way, and with all the same products I used on my kitchen cabinets.
I love this jewelry stand I found her at Big Lots a few months ago for 10 dollars.
My jewelry box was one of my many amazing Goodwill finds. Purchased for 6.99 the crystal knobs them self are worth that much!
My master bathroom is also my little man's main domain. I don't keep Little Bunny Fufu in a cage ever, he is loose in my house (he is litter box trained) the main room he hangs out in is my master bathroom because that's where his food, water, bed, & litter box are kept. Isn't he the cutest?! He is super sweet too.
I love my Bunny boy.
I have some of my favorite bunny things in here to go with the fact that it is Little Bunny Fufu's room. I think they are suppose to be Easter decorations, but I don't care I have them out all year long because I love bunnies! I got the two large bunnies at Goodwill. My Grandma Carolee got me the little bunny jewelry box for my 21st birthday, I just love it. My tooth brush holder (farthest item on the left) does not actually fit my tooth brush lol ( I have a sonicare, so it has to be plugged in charging) but the holder is so cute I just have it sitting on the counter anyways.
My shower curtain is part of Rachel Ashwell's line Simply Shabby Chic.
Time for me to go cuddle my puppies in that big warm bed now.
Goodnight all.
Hope you liked my bathroom.
that bunny is so cute...i wish i could get one that was house trained...and he is always posing in your pics...LOL

ReplyDeleteHi Janae,
ReplyDeleteI was wondering if you have time could you email some info on having a bunny as a pet. I don't know anyone else who does and would like to consider purchasing one. I have a long hair Chihuahua who Is super gently so I don't think that would be an issue. Where does FuFu sleep? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Michelle

ReplyDeletebunnies. My daughter had a Holland Lop and we kept it outside other than when we wanted to cuddle and let her run around the house with us. Her name was Twilla and she had a cage during the day I would open and she would run all over the yard. I would hear the chicken hawk above our house , I would run out and say Twilla the hawk and she would be line to her cage. She lived to be really old and one day we found her peacefully gone. Our daughter has porcelain Christmas bunnys. Their heads and hands and feet are porcelain and their outfits are in different satin Christmas outfits. She puts them on each of her steps in her home leading upstairs. your bathrm is so cute and your bunny is adorable.Great job on your bathrm. We remodeled ours last June. Our home is 49 yrs. old so we went down to studs on walls and floors. Everything was new! It turned out wonderful. Bathrms and kitchens make such a difference. Next project to save for is the kitchen. Thank you
