Louie's Memorial

As you may know my precious kitten Louie passed away a little over a week ago.
RIP LOUIE 5/5/12 to 11/19/12
I dedicated this table in the hall by my bedroom for a special place to keep Louie's ashes.
I miss him so so much.

Thank you so much for all the kind comments and personal emails, everyone has been writing to me, it really makes me feel loved, during this hard time.

Louie's ashes  are inside the urn, I plan to have metal plate engraved with Louie's name & dates of his life to place on his urn.

This is one of my favorite recent picture's of Louie this was taken on his half Birthday 11/5/12.
This is the perfect frame for his photo, with angels all around Louie, as they are now all around him,  as he rests in heaven.

I would like to have this poem below somewhere on Louie's memorial table.

THE RAINBOW BRIDGE

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

RIP LOUIE
Someday we will be together again.

  5. A beautiful memorial. As soon as I became aware of the service, I have had each of my pets cremated, and I have their ashes in a special place in my built ins in my livingroom. I as well, have one of those poems, which reminds me, I need to look for a pretty frame to put it in. EAch time I read that poem, it makes me cry. This time was no exception!

  8. This is heart wrenching. I was "told" by Spirit that my Baby is waiting for me too. I believe it, we promised each other we would always be together.

  9. Oh my goodness, Janae, I'm crying now. I started crying when I saw little Louie's photo before the urn. He just looks so adorable on it. That poem is so very touching and you know what, I believe it. Take care! You are surrounded with love because you're such a dear, dear girl!

  10. Janae:

I think the tribute table is just beautiful. I have commented on here before and my heart just breaks knowing how bad you are feeling. I believe I told you that I lost in the summer of this year both my cat and my dog within three weeks of each other. (Emily/dog, Paris Bella, aka Perri Winkleman/cat) Each time my vet sent me a lovely card and the poem the Rainbow Bridge. I have the poem on good paper with the bridge above it, if you would like, I could send you via e-mail a copy of the poem with the colored bridge paper and you could, if you want, print it out on good paper. Just a suggestion. Let me know if you would like me to do this, it would be my pleasure. Take care, sending lots of hugs your way.
