Giani Granite Countertop Paint One Year Later

Just over a year ago I used Giani Granite countertop paint on my kitchen counters.
At that time I did a blog post all about it

I was so happy with the way it turned out.
The number 1 concern I had as well as I think many other people had was how it would it last?

I am so happy to be able to tell you that the counters now a year later look just as good as they did the day I painted them.
All the concerns I had and others probably had too with chipping and such, have not been a problem at all, they have never chipped. It does not seem like the counters are painted at all, they just seem like countertops that came the way they are. When people come over they can't believe that they are just painted.

This is what the counters looked like just over a year ago.

On top of the cabinets is Levi's favorite hangout spot.

Giani Granite helped me tremendously in bringing my dining area living area and kitchen all together to one color pallet which is important because with my floor plan all 3 areas are one big room.

View last years post to see how I did this.

I love Ball jars and I am loving my new 100 year anniversary little blue ball jars, I just got the other day. (The little ones are the new ones, the large one with flowers in it is an antique)

The counters are holding out perfect even in areas like around the sink where they get wet alot. They really still look as good as they did a year ago.

I have spring fever.
I am loving having fresh cut flowers in the house again.

I highly recommend Giani Granite countertop paint it is awesome!! I'm happy that now that it's been a year that I can say they very durable, I am hard on them and they are still in perfect shape.

If you have been thinking about trying Giani Granite countertop paint do it! It is very afforable, really easy to do, super durable, and makes such a drastic impovment. I love this stuff.
Thanks for visiting my blog. See you next time.

It is just fantastic how well the counters have worn. I'm so impressed. Your photos are lovely by the way--your flowers look beautiful!

  5. Thank you for the update. Your kitchen looks amazing!! I have been trying to decide what to do about my bathroom counters. They are really out of date and to change the whole thing would be to costly. This is a great idea, and the box will do both my bathrooms since the counters are so small. Just put in a sink ( look out craigs list) and it will look like new. Great idea Janae!!

  9. You did very well, Janae! Aside from you using a good paint kit, your effort with the maintenance is also praiseworthy. Just remember to avoid using aromatic cleaners on it. Granite countertops need only gentle cleaning so as not to damage the surface. My chief worry is keeping off cracks and scratch marks on the countertop. With kids around, it's not a very easy job to do. :D -->Robbie
