Ruffled Lamps!

I got two of these adorable ruffled lamps at Marshall's last weekend on Clearance for 22 dollars each.

The lamps are now on both my nightstands.

Bella & Lacie approve of the new lamps.

I just love how romantic the ruffles are.

I didn't get new lamps because I didn't like my old ones I just really liked the new ones and knew they wold be perfect in my bedroom. So I found new places to put the ones that were previously in my bedroom. I put  one here on my desk.

And the other on my Old fashion radio cabinet.

The lamp perfect in this room because I am always needing more light in this room.

Now I just can't wait for my ruffled bed skirt I ordered to come!

My Ruffled Table Cloth

I am in love with it.

My inspiration for this came from.

It actually is a bed skirt I purchased the same one Courtney in my inspiration used on her's, but I actually found it in a twin size rather then hers being a king. It's really odd but my dining table is like the exact same size as a twin size bed, which made this work out great.

My little girly Lacie.

I feel the table cloth goes very nicely with the rest of the style of my home.

Learn from my mistakes....
One thing that didn't even cross my mind before the bed skirt /table cloth came in the mail was that bed skirts are only three sided, It's not a huge deal because you hardly see this side the way my table is placed in my home but I do plan on buying another and sewing on a 4th side here.
(Bella & Lacie always want to be in the pictures lol)

I love these candle stick holders I found at Goodwill last week.

I paid 29 dollars for the bed skirt/ table cloth plus 8 dollars shipping. I have already ordered another in a king this time I am actually going to use it on my bed. I can't wait for it to come and I'll be sure to do a post to share it with you all.

 See you next time!

Mirror Technique

My bathroom is feeling so heavenly, with its new color last week and now gorgeous new mirrors.

I bought these mirror at Goodwill. I took out the mirror part and painted the frame white. I then attached the frame of the mirror to my bathroom mirror with silicone I used painters tape to hold it up while it dried for 24 hours. The person who inspired me to do this was my mother who did this in her bathroom, she had seen it on another blogger's page, who I believe she linked back too on her page.

I had been wanting to do this mirror technique for a while, but I wanted two matching vintage mirror's and was waiting to find two, I figured it was going to take a while. Then the other day I purchased a vintage mirror at Goodwill as I regularly do because I am trying to collect a whole bunch, because I wanted to do a entire wall of vintage mirrors painted white. When I bought my mirror the other night I decided to look through my collection of mirrors I already had, that needed to be painted and what do I find..... I already have the mirror I just bought! I was so happy and excited that I had two matching.

Here is what the bathroom mirror looked like before not bad, just boring.

I am thrilled with how it turned out.

I hung this crystal candle holding chandelier in the middle because there was alot of space in between the two mirror frames, and this just fits here perfect.

The create the look around the edges of the full size mirror, I first hung a white sheer window scarf I layered long strands of pearls with it, and placed a feather boa across the top.

I love how glamorous and feminine it is.

Now I'm off to a bubble bath where I can sit and admire my mirrors new look.

Radio Cabinet Makeover!

I love my old fashion radio stand, it is no longer a radio cabinet though I just use it for storage, and decoration.  Isn't it cute?

I purchased it, at a local thrift store called thrift city.

This little cabinet is in my front little sitting room.

I got this adorable breakfast tray along with the bird house just the other night at Goodwill.

The bird is off my Christmas tree, I decided he was way too cute and should be out all year long.

My girls are so cute!

It's hard to tell in photo's, but I did distress the edges of the cabinet after I painted it white. I used a product called rub n buff the color is called "patina". When you look at this color online it looks super bright blue, which I was nervous about, when I ordered it I thought it was going to be way to bright and too blue, but omgosh it is so perfect and its not even that blue its very green-blue pretty much exactly the color I use as a accent color in alot of my home, I am so happy with it.

I buy rub n buff on Ebay, its very inexpensive.

Very happy with the way it turned out I feel this room is so much brighter and cheerful now that it is white instead of the dark.

Home sweet home.
