Pet Costume Contest!

I have not been posting much lately, so I thought I'd do a quick post to share with you what I have been busy doing. Which is dressing my pets up for the PetSmart online photo contest. I have been busy trying to think up the best idea's for the contest, you can have unlimited amount of entries ( as long as they are all different). There is 5 different categories, Cutest, Scariest, Funniest, Healthiest smile, & Rock star, I shared some of my entries about two weeks ago. I have entered  several more photo's I am sharing with you today. Taking picture's of pets is a hobby of mine I love, so having this contest as an excuse to obsess over it, has been very fun for me.

I found this little doll bike at my local Goodwill, it is the perfect size for Fufu.

Where's Lacie???

Lacie is entered in "Healthiest Smile" Category as a Unicorn.

My little sister Chantel collects unicorns, it worked out great to take Lacie's picture will all of Chantel's stuffed unicorns.

I was using lunch meat to keep Louie's attention for the the picture. It worked out perfect that he made this roaring face for the photo.

Lacie the Lady Bug, is again entered in "healthiest smile"

Lacie has a really good doggie smile so she has several entries in this category

I have big plans for Billie to be Mr. Tinkles from the movie Cats & Dogs. during his Hannibal Lecter look alike scene. This will be our entry for scariest. Do most people know Mr. Tinkles is?? If you do you would probably agree that Billie already looks a lot like him.

My Shabby Chic Birthday Gifts

I am 23 years old as of this past Thursday the 20th, time is flying!

My talented Mother always makes me the most amazing gifts. I thought I would share them with you today.

She made me this gorgeous dream catcher, pictures do not give it justice it is stunning. 

I hung the dream catcher on my side of the bed. I want all the good dreams to myself lol.

My little Brother Wyatt got me this adorable adorable alarm clock, I love it well of course I do since when I saw it in the store I said, "someone should get me this for my birthday hint hint". But it was a nice surprise, because I had forgot all about it, by the time my birthday came.

This beautiful pumpkin my Mother decorated is so very me. She is going to make a tradition of making me a pumpkin for each birthday, since my birthday is the 20th and the first day of fall in the 22nd, it is perfect timing. Give me a few years & I'll have a whole pumpkin patch, I can't wait.

I  can not decide if I like last years pumpkin better on the left or right. Which way do you like better?

About a week or so ago, I had shared how I had gotten a Simply Shabby Chic British rose Duvet cover at Goodwill. I had mentioned how I really wished I had matching pillows to go with it, but was not sure I'd be able to get them, being the fabric had been discontinued. Well to my surprise guess what I got for my Birthday! My Mother is always so thoughtful.

Now my  guest bed looks just how I wanted. I love how the chandelier above the vanity reflect in the mirror above the bed.

She also made me these gorgeous angel wings. I love them, I am too spoiled.

I just love Angel wings as you can see.

I feel like such a lucky girl to have a Mother so much like me. Who cares so much to make me such wonderful gifts. I love you Mom!

Surgery Day

Today all 4 of my sweet baby kitties went to the vet to get spayed and neutered. All of my pets are fixed, yes even Little Bunny Fufu which most people seem to think is odd when I tell them he is neutered, but really it makes a rabbit such a better pet. I don't understand why everyone does not fix their rabbit, and it's much healthier for them as any pet. Anyway, every time I have to take one of the pets in for surgery I am a huge nervous wreak, it is so stressful to me, I can never sleep the night before & have anxiety all day the day of.

I had  an extra scare today when I mentioned to the vet that Louie seemed to be losing weight. Then at the weigh in Louie weighed the least out of all the kittens, which he had always been the biggest before. The vet said weight loss is a sign of feline leukemia, one of the scariest things to any cat mother. I called my mom crying I was so worried about Louie, as well as my other cats since it is contagious and deadly. THANK GOODNESS Louie tested negative for feline leukemia, waiting for the test results was the longest 30 minutes of my life. Louie seems perfectly normal in every other way, so hopefully his weight loss is just a fluke, it could also just be the other kittens are suddenly growing faster than he is which makes it seem like he is smaller.  I am so so relieved that he does not have feline leukemia.

I am so so glad they are home and everything went really well, I have been dreading this day for a while so I am so glad it's over with and everything went good.
I love my little kitty babies so much.

Chandelier in Guest Bedroom

This chandelier was above my fireplace. But since I decided to put my TV above my fireplace I had to find a new place for it. I put above the vanity in the guestroom

What do you think? At first I thought the chandelier was to big for this spot but its growing on me. This chandelier plugs in to a regular wall socket by the way which makes it so easy to move it around to wherever I want.

I love my duvet cover I got a Goodwill a couple weeks ago, it does not have a tag but I am pretty sure it is the Simply Shabby Chic British rose. I really want to get matching pillow but I hear this fabric is being discontinued so I better get on it. The blue of the flowers is almost the exact same color as the blue on my walls.

I am sad summer is coming to an end. I am going to miss my Grandma's weekly  flowers she gives me out of her garden so much.

This week she brought me enough flowers to make to boutiques. I was trying to take a picture of Billie with the flowers he decided he need to smell them first.

A day at the beach

 Bella & Lacie's first beach trip!

Yesterday was my little sister Chantel's 14th birthday. We went to the beach for the day in celebration. My Mother, Chantel & I along with my dogs Bella & Lacie and their dogs Daisy & Duke.

Bella enjoyed digging in the sand.

Soon Lacie joined Bella in digging her hole.

 

They kicked sand all over me while digging the hole, but its okay they were having fun!

 I carried Lacie around to the shops in her little carrier. Everyone thought she was quite adorable.

 Bella & Daisy rode around in the stroller. Duke was the only one who walked around on a leash lol.

There is lots of pictures of me hardly any of the birthday girl  she's at "that age" she is just too cool to have her picture taken lol. Me I 'm not too cool I love pictures!
