My Little Peg Legged Pirate Leo

It's that time of year again!
I love to dress my pets up for Halloween and take cute pictures of them.
There is lots of fun contest to enter them in as well.

Little Leo is so adorable, but most costumes may not fit him right, because of is his missing front leg. So I had the idea of dressing him as a pirate and making him a peg leg to complete his costume. It turned out pretty cute, if I do say so myself.
The Petco "make a scene" contest I plan to enter is all about making a scene to go with the costume. I took these pictures at my grandparents house today by their pond. My Sister Chantel let me borrow her pirate ship as a prop, she also was my assistant in posing Leo. He was a really good boy, I got several good ones. These two were my favorites.

Which pic do you think I should enter the 1st or 2nd?

Hope you enjoyed!

  2. These pictures are great!! I agree with Sandy, the first one looks the best. You and Chantel did a great job working together...with so much patience and perseverance.

  3. Love his peg leg! And the pond in the background with the ship is perfect- looks like he just landed on a deserted, tropical island and is looking for the treasure! I like the first one because it's closer-up on Leo. Good luck!

  5. So cute! How did you get him to stand so still?
I vote for number one. You get a better shot of his peg leg!
He makes quite a handsome pirate!

  7. Amazing photography, as usual. The first picture is my favorite, as it focuses more on Leo, with the props in the foreground. The second picture seems to put the focus on the props more than Leo. Thank you for sharing and bringing a smile to my face.
