New Simply Shabby Chic Bedding

My new bedding is very similar to my previous bedding. Both are rosey Rachel Ashwell patterns. The only real difference is the background on the last one was a purple-ish pink, and this one is white. This is also a duvet cover the other was a comforter, that is actually in the duvet cover right now hehe.

I got both my of the bedding sets at Goodwill. Our local Goodwill's resells Target returns and I have been finding a lot of simply shabby chic stuff. I was very excited that this king size duvet cover also came with two king size pillow shams. My last comforter did not come with the matching shams, I just had one twin size one I found at Goodwill on a different day. The price I paid for the whole set at Goodwill was what it cost just two buy the two shams at Target.

The Fur babies all seem to like the new bedding.
I have to shut the door to keep them out while taking pictures they all want on the bed, and were scratching the door the whole time.

My sister took this pic of my babies and I, yesterday while she was over. This was with the previous bedding, as you can see very very similar. In pictures you can hardly tell it's more of a different color in real life. This is a cell phone pic of us, its not showing how pink the bedspread really is.

I love it but I loved my other one as well, but it's fun to mix things up, I can always go back to the pink background anytime.

I probably will be sharing some more of my recently simply shabby chic Goodwill finds soon, so stay tuned for more. I just love Simply Shabby Chic, everything Rachel Ashwell sells is amazing.

Thanks for visiting my blog. See you next time.

  3. I swear I'm coming out by you to shop at Goodwill. I've never found any Simply Shabby Chic stuff at mine. Maybe the girls that work there like it too & buy it before it gets on the shelf! I did find 2 Laura Ashley shams last time. They look like the ones I saw on your mom's blog with the blue roses. It's plainer though, without the ribbons & what looks like vases.
I thought about getting a job at Target. I'm there so much, I might as well get paid to be there! Plus, I'd have a first look at what"s coming & going! I also love their dollar spot. I'm a Stampin' Up demonstrator so I do a lot of paper crafting. We get a lot of the dollar stuff and spruce it up & package up paper & pen sets, etc.
Back to the bedding. Do you know how many duvets, shams, pillows, etc. you have? It seems like all of your pictures have different ones. I figure you change them up a lot & move them around.
You have inspired me to paint more stuff white. I was just going to get rid of these horrible plaster rose thingies with a lot of gold on them. They were my Grandma's. Now I'm thinking I'll try painting them white first & see how they look. It won't hurt. I'll have to take pictures in case I ever start my own blog.

  5. Janae, I LOVE it! Only twice have I seen a shabby chic comforter or duvet at Goodwill. Saw the comforter like your pink one and am still mad I didn't buy it then! I got my balloon curtains and a SSC round pillow at Goodwill though! Have a question? Did you blog about the dreamcatcher you have hanging on the bed? Love it! Would love to see your post about it! xo, Jennifer

  7. Beautiful as always! I am so excited because I have finally convinced my hubby to let me go Shabby Chic in our bedroom - YAY! I am going to get the white smocked duvet cover and shams, and add in color with some of the floral pillows and the patchwork valances. I wish our Goodwill had shabby chic stuff...no luck yet, but I keep searching! Love that last pic of your babies. : ) I come to your blog whenever I need a pick-me-up and some soothing, beautiful images. Your home is truly a restful haven.

  8. I have to agree with Becky, your home is so soft and inviting and peaceful. You did really, really good at Goodwill. I've never been that lucky. It would probably help if I went more often than a couple times a year! Lol. Can't wait to see more pics! Hope you have a great weekend.

  11. I know what you mean about seeing new Target merch @ Goodwill. I've been noticing that and buying some things such as the yellow pleated velveteen pillow T. carried last spring. I bought one & snatched up another about a month later for 1/4 the price @ Good's. I also spotted three of those lame ceramic turtle shells by Nate, a cobalt blue teardrop lamp & several skirts.BTW love your bedding and all the pets. How typical they've chosen the comfiest plce to congregate!
